    I recently tried these rods out at Shasta Lake on a cold December day. I used Offshore large trolling boards and the medium boards with them and Cal’s rods were up to the task. I didn’t intend to use the large board with them, but was surprised that they trolled just as well as my stouter trolling rods. I love how flexible Cal’s rods are, and am planning to buy two more when Mrs. McHatton isn’t looking!

    My wife purchased one of your trout and salmon rods for me for Xmas. It quickly became my favorite. It’s construction is second to none. It has a fast action tip with a backbone that can handle a larger fish. Great combination. I like it so much that I recently purchased a second rod.

    Used this rod for the first time on May 1st and I have to say that I am extremely impressed with this rod! Has great bend, a great backbone, and is very sensitive. I use this rod with the Okuma cold water low profile reel. I’m very happy I bought this rod.l and highly recommend this rod for those going for rainbow and lake trout.

    Truly the ugliest rod I have ever seen and only because I hate the color purple. That being said, it is an awesome performer and a great bargain at the price. I have a lot of high dollar brand rods that don’t hold up to the FHS rod at 4 times the cost. Plenty soft at the tip and some backbone to handle those trophy fish that sneak up on my flies. 5 stars!
