Bookings & Deposits

Reservations for the Cal Kellogg School of Fishing Guide Service require a credit card or debit card. The price of the trip will be charged upon booking. A cancellation from 30 to 15 days before the date of the trip will result in a 50% refund. A cancellation from 14 to 8 days prior to the date of the trip will result in a 25% refund. A cancellation within 7 days of the trip will result in no refund. If you have to cancel a trip, your deposit can be applied to a future trip within the same calendar year one time.
If Cal has to cancel a trip due to dangerous weather, unfavorable fishing conditions or unforeseen circumstances a full refund will be given, or the full amount can be applied to a future trip.

Your Fishing Trip

Cal Kellogg’s School of Fishing Guide Service provides instructional guided fishing trips. There are no secrets on Cal’s boat. If you have a question about any aspect of trout or landlocked salmon fishing, or any aspect of West Coast fishing for that matter Cal will set you on the path to success based on his 40 plus years of on the water experience.
Cal offers full day charters. A full day fishing adventure begins at 7 AM and runs for 7 hours, or until limits are achieved if you are keeping fish or until you wish to head in. 

Special Extended Trips for Large Groups

Cal offers special extended day trips for groups of 5 or more anglers.  If you are interested in booking an extended trip, contact us at info@fishhuntshoot.com for details.

Personal protective masks and hand sanitizer available until the COVID-19 pandemic is put to rest.

Alcohol and Drug Policy

Cal’s doesn’t allow alcoholic beverages and/or any form of cannabis on his vessel.

You Need To Bring:

Curiosity, a passion for adventure and a sense of humor, because fishing with Cal is educational and you’ll always catch your limit of laughs!
Valid California Fishing License – Customers are responsible for purchasing their fishing licenses prior to the trip and must posses a hard copy and present it at time of boarding.
Clothing Suitable For The Conditions – Layers are recommended to stay comfortable throughout the day.
Ice Chest To Transport Your Catch Home – Does not have to be brought on board the boat, but if you plan on keeping fish, it’s a good idea to have it in your vehicle with ice ready to go when we return to the dock.
You May Also Want To Consider – Sunglasses – Hat – Sunscreen – Snacks/drinks – Camera.

The Day of Your Trip

We will meet you around 6:45AM at the Lake Camanche South Shore Marina so you can check in and pick up your parking pass.   There is plenty of secure parking near the dock. A typical day on the water is from 7AM-2PM depending on weather and the cooperation of the trout.  The facilities on at the Lake make it easy to take a short break anytime if necessary.

Cal’s Guide Boat

We fish out of a 20′ Pontoon rigged specifically for comfort and fishability.  The boat offers TONS of room to stand and sit comfortably on a wide, stable, and secure platform.
